"On my honeymoon in Sri Lanka, I found some time to fit in a bit of painting on the south coast of the island while my wife was happily poolside catching some rays. Armed with a bucket of paint, a few spray cans, a camera and tripod I found a sweet little spot in an abandoned hotel still standing after being battered by the 2004 Tsunami."

Hang-Up Gallery is delighted to introduce the launch of a new series of exhibitions entitled Hang-Up Collections. Expect to see key works from leading international urban and contemporary artists alongside super-fresh releases and exciting rare finds from the Hang-Up artist roster.

Adopting a slightly unconventional approach to the traditional exhibition format, new work will be added and removed throughout the exhibition duration allowing it to evolve and change over the weeks. Whether it’s straight from the artist’s studio, a unique and rare piece from Banksy or from the gallery’s own private collection, Hang-Up Collections will promise to bring you something new, different and exciting each time you visit.

The first Hang-Up Collections: Volume 1 will exhibit previously unseen work from rising talent such as Mark Powell, Lauren Baker, Joe Webb, Russell Marshall, Magnus Gjoen, Mason Storm and The Connor Brothers, as well as rare pieces and one-offs from artists including Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Futura, Herakut, Eddie Peake, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Jeff Koons, Mau Mau and Sir Peter Blake.

Hang-Up’s gallery artists will prove a highlight of the show, many creating new works specifically for the collection including print, photography, sculpture and painting. This includes a brand new print release from collage artist Joe Webb exclusively through Hang-Up, an original oil by Mason Storm and an original embellished skull from Lauren Baker. The show will also include unseen works from Radiohead artist Stanley Donwood, a limited diamond dust edition from Dave White, and will introduce the exciting works of London based artist A.CE, a key figure in the UK Street Art scene for over 10 years.

'Ceremony' brings together their creative output in a wholly original way, looking at the iconography of British folk rituals and the aesthetics of these ancient ceremonies in a modern world. The show will be a mixture of new and archive material, drawing parallels between their work, creating a space for dialogue between the garments, prints, images and video.

@BOXPARK presents... #WILLPRINCEART‏

In his young career as an artist Will Prince and his work have been great bridge for art and hip-hop. This is the kid from Scotland that did Chief Keefs mix-tape cover, not mention all the others. As he drew his heroes (freehand) in their all their glory and his art has turned his heroes into fans. His work has sprawled beyond the Internet as he's created skate decks, album artwork, and even iPhone cases.

Despite the buzz he's earned with his current work, Will doesn't want to be known as the guy who just draws rappers. Will uses his own technique of drawing and computer graphics to make his stunning pieces. His work is very expressive and his lines in the work seem to have a life of their own, which create exaggerated yet real portraits.

You can catch Will’s work @BOXPARK from the 1st September and on Thursday 4th September from 7pm on the upper deck he will be throwing a launch party to celebrate. Expect some very special guests, complementary drinks and the chance to win a signed piece of art from the man himself!

Boxpark, 2 - 10 Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6GY
