Photograph for Boxfresh #Oneshot

As part of their 25th anniversary, Boxfresh are looking for a photographer to document 25 different celebratory events staged throughout 2014. The winner of the competition will win a one year paid placement at Boxfresh, working as their official photographer.

To help promote the competition, Boxfresh have been in touch with a number of well-know and up-and-coming photographers to ask if they'd submit an image or two that they feel fits with the competition brief. The result is a series of diverse images from a list of photographers which includes Ewen Spencer (also a judge for the competition), Jason Evans, Shaniqwa Jarvis, Luke & Nik (co-founders of Wandering Bears) and Leo Cackett.

You are challenged to submit an image that communicates Boxfresh’s passion for youth culture, fashion, art and music. Take inspiration from the brand itself - Boxfresh aims to seek out trends and movements before they reach the surface, tapping into local and global scenes to connect with what’s current, credible and exciting for young people, in fashion, style, art and music.

To take part in the competition and upload your images head over to the Talenthouse website where you can find all the details you need to take part.

Jessica Eaton: Ad Infinitum Exhibition

The Hospital Club Gallery presents the debut London show of recent work from Jessica Eaton, in collaboration with The Photographers’ Gallery. A ground breaking photographic series, Eaton’s work is highly sought after and has been recognised with grants and awards, she was awarded the Hyères, Photography Jury Grand Prize, 2012.

Eaton’s latest work views the world through the capabilities of photography using a wide array of experimental, analogue-based photographic techniques such as color separation filtration, additive color theory, multiple exposures, motion blur, in-camera masking, cross polarization and lighting techniques. Building on her highly reviewed series Cubes for Albers and LeWitt (cfaal) with Polytopes Eaton develops more configurations from repeated fragments, constructing sculptural works on sheets of large format film. The haunting, luminescent images bloom and grow before the viewer, the result of layered time and additive color theory.

Friday 24th January - Saturday 8th February

ABOVE "Timing Is Everthing' Stencil Piece in London

It took nearly 7+ months for Above searching the streets at night for a fixed shadow that was positioned perfectly against a wall. The break dancer stencil comes to life at night. I am attracted to the concept that the stencil and it's context can change literally from day to night. Timing is everything!

Red Stripe® Make Session 009 Bolier Room Video

We headed East to London fieds last week for the latest Bolier Room's Make Session 009(blogged here). The evening hosted in a secret underground venue saw Red Stripe® team up with innovative visual projector movement BYOB aka Bring Your Own Beamer who invited 15 of their artists to create a patchwork of projections featuring the best in experiential and visual art works around the basement venue. This was the first time Boiler Room featured a visual collaboration on this epic scale.

Alongside the kaleidoscope of visual the evening saw Mark Ronson, DJ Drama and Giggs play some of the biggest rhythms and rhymes from across the globe to the packed out venue. The evening also marked the launch of Red Stripe® globally recognised and cherished ‘Stubby’ bottle to the UK crowd for the first time. With soaring temperatures both inside the venue and outside, the ice cold iconic stubby bottles were extremely well reachieved by the crowds in attendance. We look forward to seeing the stubby bottles which should be hitting the pubs, bars and clubs across the UK right about now.

If you missed the live stream of the party check the clip below to see what went down on the night.

Each one represents the harmony we seek in our daily lives, an inspired and inspiring reminder of the importance of equanimity. Harrington’s Remain in Balance lamps are hand carved and hand painted with the utmost care; the hand-splattered linen drum lamp shade adds a bright punch of color to the natural, organic feel of the sculpture.
