One Red Rose Forever – Copyright

Known across the streets of the UK for his trademark roses, Copyright is the clear choice for a Valentine’s show at Lawrence Alkin Gallery this February. Using his works to explore ideals of modern culture through classic icons of beauty– butterflies, flowers and gorgeous women – One Red Rose Forever explores the impossibilities of idealism and the unattainable visions of beauty found in fashion, music and popular culture.

Fusing street art, graffiti and more traditional styles, Copyright uses a mixture of classic painting techniques and spray can art, citing influences from the Pre-Raphaelites to Alfred Hitchcock. His works are highly popular, collected by the likes of The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett and exhibited in sell-out shows from London to Tokyo. One Red Rose Forever sees Copyright work across a variety of media, including wood, paper and canvas, and the opening night will see the first 50 attendees being given one of his much sought after prints, a Valentines gift of epic proportions…
